Information for Merchants

Ecommerce website owners can list their businesses on shoppingspeed free of cost and get an additional stream of qualified buyers sent to their websites. To this end, shoppingspeed has developed a unique set of self service tools that allow businesses to list their products on our website in 3 easy steps:

Step 1 -  Create Your Data File

Create a data file called shoppingspeed.txt and place it on your web server. This file will need 8 columns (sample file)

Product Code |    Store Name  | Category | Product Title    | Manufacturer | Description/comments | Price | Product Link (to your website)

All fields are mandatory.

Product Code A 10 digit code of the product, as listed in our database*. In order to get this code, search for the product you wish to sell in our database, and take note of the 10 digit product code listed on the product page (called ASIN ). We currently allow only products in our database to be listed in our search engine, and this code is required for your store to show up in our price comparison.
Store Name The name of your store / website. This must be the official name of your website eg Amazon.com
Category The category of the item (String value up to 255 characters e.g.: books, games, baby products)
Product Title The name of the product  (String value up to 255 characters)
Manufacturer The products manufacturer (String value up to 255 characters)
Comments Short description of your item (String value up to 255 characters)
Price The price of your item format:  55.55 usd
Product Link Direct link to the item on your website

Step 2 -  Upload Data File to Your Webserver

Once you have created your data file as described in step 1, upload the file to your website, so that it can be found at

http://www.yoursite.com/shoppingspeed.txt

 

Step 3 -  Notify Shoppingspeed

Fill out the form below, and your data file will be qued in our system. Processing usually takes between 3 to 5 business days. However, large files can take longer. If you do not see your products appearing in our comparison after 7 days, check your data file to make sure it is in the correct format and accessible at the required location.
